The Kinematic Origin of Complex Wave Functions

چکیده
A reformulation of the Dirac theory reveals that ih̄ has a geometric meaning relating it to electron spin. This provides the basis for a coherent physical interpretation of the Dirac and Schödinger theories wherein the complex phase factor exp(−iφ/h̄) in the wave function describes electron zitterbewegung, a localized, circular motion generating the electron spin and magnetic moment. Zitterbewegung interactions also generate resonances which may explain quantization, diffraction, and the Pauli principle. You know, it would be sufficient to really understand the electron. — Albert Einstein [1]

Improved Estimates of Kinematic Wave Parameters for Circular Channels
The momentum equation in the kinematic wave model is a power-law equation with two parameters. These parameters, which relate the discharge to the flow area, are commonly derived using Manning’s equation. In general, the values of these parameters depend on the flow depth except for some special cross sections. In this paper, improved estimates of the kinematic wave parameters for circular chan...
متن کاملAnalytical D’Alembert Series Solution for Multi-Layered One-Dimensional Elastic Wave Propagation with the Use of General Dirichlet Series
A general initial-boundary value problem of one-dimensional transient wave propagation in a multi-layered elastic medium due to arbitrary boundary or interface excitations (either prescribed tractions or displacements) is considered. Laplace transformation technique is utilised and the Laplace transform inversion is facilitated via an unconventional method, where the expansion of complex-valued...

In this paper, we obtain exact solutions involving parameters of some nonlinear PDEs in mathmatical physics; namely the one-dimensional modified complex Ginzburg-Landau equation by using the $ (G'/G) $ expansion method, homogeneous balance method, extended F-expansion method. By using homogeneous balance principle and the extended F-expansion, more periodic wave solutions expressed by j...
متن کاملVelocity Inversion with an Iterative Normal Incidence Point (NIP) Wave Tomography with Model-Based Common Diffraction Surface (CDS) Stack
Normal Incidence Point (NIP) wave tomography inversion has been recently developed to generate a velocity model using Common Reflection Surface (CRS) attributes, which is called the kinematic wavefield attribute. In this paper, we propose to use the model based Common Diffraction Surface (CDS) stack method attributes instead of data driven Common Reflection Surface attributes as an input data p...
متن کاملSurface Flow Routing using Kinematic Wave and Time – Area Methods for Upstream Watershed of the Bustan Dam in Golestan Province, Iran
This study aims to evaluate two methods of surface water routing including kinematic wave and time-area in upstream of the Bustan dam. To this end, first considering the features and application prerequisites of both methods and describing the hydraulic and hydrologic conditions within the Tamer watershed, algorithms and scripts of kinematic wave and time-area methods were developed. Then the s...
